Explore our anatomical measurement standards and atelier sizing references. While standard sizes are offered as a guide, every DANNIQUE Made to Order piece is tailored to your personal body measurements.

Methodology

Taking Your Measurements

We recommend measuring directly against the body with a flexible tape, without pulling it too tight. Wear unpadded undergarments for a true reading of your silhouette.

  1. 01 / BUST CIRCUMFERENCEBust Apex Line

    Draw the measuring tape around the fullest part of the bust, parallel to the floor and across the shoulder blades at the back. Let both arms rest naturally at your sides.

  2. 02 / WAIST CIRCUMFERENCENarrowest Point

    Find the natural crease of your waist by bending slightly to one side. Place the tape at this narrowest point—usually 2–3 cm above the navel—standing relaxed without holding your breath.

  3. 03 / HIP CIRCUMFERENCEWidest Arc

    Stand upright with your feet together. Wrap the tape horizontally around the fullest part of the hips and seat, about 20 cm below the natural waistline.

  4. 04 / GARMENT LENGTHShoulder to Hemline

    Measured vertically from the highest point of the shoulder seam (beside the base of the neck), straight down over the bust apex to your desired hemline.

  5. 05 / SHOULDER WIDTHShoulder Span

    Measured from the tip of the left shoulder bone, across the natural curve of the back neck, to the tip of the right shoulder bone. Essential for our structured outerwear and tailored silhouettes.

  6. 06 / BODY HEIGHTOverall Stature

    Stand upright and barefoot with heels, back, and head against a flat wall. Measure vertically from the crown of your head straight to the floor to calibrate proportion and drape.
